The DigTrack Damage Prevention Vehicle field applications allows gas and electric utilities to send assignments to field inspectors to ensure that damage is not done to underground service lines. It works in conjunction with underground locate tickets that are sent to utilities from 811 centers to mark their services prior to excavations. Field inspectors use the application to visit excavation sites, monitor the excavator, document their visit, grade the excavators, create violation reports if needed, and send results of the visit back to the utility.
